Andrea is an expert in Micro and Nanofabrication, Nanophotonics for solar cells and epitaxy of III-V semiconductors for photovoltaic applications. At Politecnico di Milano since February 2023, he is involved in the development and the integration of new functional materials in micro and nano-electromechanical devices (MEMS and NEMS), within the framework of the Joint Research Center STEAM between the Politecnico di Milano and STMicroelectronics. He continues to work on light-trapping in ultra-thin solar cells and the synthesis of defect-tolerant materials for Photovoltaics.
