The Plasmonica community – constituted as the “Plasmonics and Nano-Optics” working group of the Italian Optical Society (SIOF) – is pleased to announce the 4thedition of the International School on Plasmonics and Nano-optics, which will be held on June 3–7, 2024 in Como, Italy. The event is co-sponsored and hosted by the Lake Como School of Advanced Studies in the stunning setting of the Villa del Grumello, overlooking lake Como. The School will feature four short courses from globally renowned academics (Javier Aizpurua, Laura Lechuga, Lukas Novotny, Maxim Shcherbakov) introducing the attendees to relevant topics in nano-optics, both fundamental and applied. The lectures will be complemented with seminars by the lecturers themselves and by renowned Italian researchers (Cristian Manzoni, Marco Liscidini, Monica Bollani and Tiziana Cesca) covering the latest developments in the field. The interaction between lecturers and students will be fostered through several tasks of active learning.
Applications are open for early-stage researchers (PhD students and post-docs) until March 10, 2024.
